Megahertz Broadcast Systems has installed equipment as well as AC and DC power systems into three new Shoot Edit vehicles for the BBC Newsgathering Operation.
The vehicles, which are destined for three BBC regions, are based on the recently introduced Peugeot 807 chassis. Megahertz installed tape editing, control and monitoring equipment, along with new AC and DC power supplies housed in custom enclosures. The Megahertz team also installed purpose-built racks and custom-built drawers to hold the equipment.
The new vehicles will be operated by dedicated staff to shoot and edit national news stories from the regions.
