KBSI-TV, the FOX affiliate in Cape Girardeau, MO, and WPSD-TV, the NBC affiliate in Paducah, KY, have reached an agreement under which WPSD will produce a 30-minute newscast at 9 p.m. Monday through Sunday to appear on KBSI beginning in October.
The Paxton Media Group-owned WPSD-TV has covered the Paducah/Cape Girardeau/Harrisburg area for years, according to KBSI general manager Tom Tipton. The station’s News Channel 6 will provide news, sports and weather for the FOX affiliate. The Sinclair Broadcast Group owns KBSI-TV.
