CNN HD covered the launch of space shuttle Discovery Oct. 23 from the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, FL, in HD.
While CNN Worldwide has broadcast every shuttle launch live, the launch of Discovery was a first for CNN HD, which began 24-hour news in HD Sept. 1.
HDNet, which has covered shuttle lift offs in HD since the summer of 2005, also covered the launch.
