FasTrac, Baron Services’ original weather display, now includes automated tropical storm tracking and other upgrades.
Baron has updated the 2-D storm tracker to improve existing features and add storm tracking capabilities not previously available.
The new additions include:
- Automated tropical storm tracking, which provides a view of current storm position and forecasts position, pressure, winds and movements;
- ETA scan, which scans across a manual or automatically generated storm track that refreshes the ETA marquee box with all the communities in harm’s way;
- Dual-polarization support with hydrometeor classification;
- Storm Prediction Center (SPC) outlooks and Mesoscale discussions.
Baron’s latest FasTrac release is free to existing clients and can be downloaded from support.baronservices.com.
