The Associated Press has selected video technology provider thePlatform for the launch of an enhanced version of its Online Video Network, which distributes AP video content to more than 2000 newspaper, broadcast and other media Web sites.
The technology rollout, to be completed by December, will offer network affiliates greater ability to showcase their video news. It also will improve the video quality for the AP's coverage of world events.
The AP's Online Video Network provides in-depth video reports specifically designed for Internet viewing.
