Wegener VP to Speak on Digital Signage at GV Expo

Kamy Merithew, vice president of marketing for Wegener Corp., a provider of network distribution equipment, will speak at the "Digital Signage Showcase" session during this year’s Government Video Technology Expo.

The GV Expo is Dec. 3-4 at the Walter E. Washington Center in Washington, D.C. The “Digital Signage Showcase” session will take place on Thursday, Dec. 4, at 9 a.m.

In the session, Merithew will present examples of turning video costs into revenues through digital signage technology. She’ll discuss launching a video signage network, examining outsourcing and in-house management methods.

She’ll talk about expanding the capabilities of their networks beyond digital signage into corporate communications and training through centralized network management techniques.

“At Wegener, we’ve seen an increase in demand for digital signage solutions as a result of growing confidence and interest in creating dynamic multimedia environments,” said Merithew. “This is a wonderful opportunity to examine methods for applying digital signage technology to convert a corporate cost center into a revenue generating division.”

Merithew focuses on strategic planning and product marketing and management at Wegener. Prior to Wegener, she spent nine years with Motorola in its Broadband Communications Division (previously General Instrument).
