Verizon grows presence of FiOS TV in New York City

Verizon has expanded the availability of its FiOS TV to new areas of Manhattan and Queens, meeting its goal of having 500,000 homes open to its television service by the end of 2008.

In July, Verizon kicked off its FiOS TV offering in New York City, reaching 108 neighborhoods in five boroughs and making the TV service available to 300,000 households.

The latest expansion includes the availability of a product bundle that includes FiOS TV in Murray Hill, Sutton Place, Tudor City and Turtle Bay in Manhattan, and Bellaire, Bellerose and Queens Village in Queens.

The company is continuing to build its all-fiber infrastructure throughout neighborhoods that already have the advanced services.
