The Univision Television Network aired a 30-minute special Dec. 1 to inform viewers about the 2009 transition to digital television in the United States and Puerto Rico.
The special, “TV Digital…¿Que Tal?” (“Digital TV…What is it?”), the first in a series of public service programs, was a co-production of Univision and its station group. It explained the benefits of digital broadcasting, who will need to obtain a digital-to-analog converter box to continue using their analog TV sets, and how a digital-to-analog converter box can be obtained.
