Thought Equity offers NCAA video on demand

Thought Equity Motion, a provider of online video content, in association with CBS Sports, announced the launch of NCAA On Demand, a new Web-based service that gives college sports fans access to the entire NCAA Championship collection of nearly 5000 games (in various sports), dating back to the 1930s.

The comprehensive NCAA On Demand collection is available for purchase on DVD, with select content available for digital download and via Internet streaming at (www.ncaaondemand.com). Additionally, the most popular titles will also be offered at Amazon.com.

NCAA On Demand offers full game broadcasts on DVD from NCAA men's and women's championships, including basketball, ice hockey, wrestling, baseball, softball and lacrosse. Additional programming such as replays of every game in the 2006 Division I Men's Basketball Championship, highlight reels of legendary players and the NCAA Championships Year in Review highlight programs are available as well. Thought Equity said hundreds of hours of games were being digitized each month to allow fans access to championship moments across all 23 NCAA sports and 88 championship tournaments.

The collection also contains original programming such as the 1966 Texas Western vs. Kentucky championship basketball game, which inspired the movie "Glory Road." The only known film version of the game was captured without audio, so the complete game experience was simply a memory. After digitally restoring the 40-year-old film footage, Thought Equity Motion synchronized the footage with the radio broadcast to create possibly the only known AV version of the game.
