Texas State University to install new video boards for major campus athletic events

Texas State University in San Marcos, TX, is installing new scoring and video equipment for several athletic facilities on campus, providing its advertisers a chance to reach football fans in HD. The football scoreboard is scheduled to be installed and ready for the Bobcats’ Sept. 1 home opening game vs. Cal Poly.

Bobcat Stadium, home of Texas State football, will see a new scoreboard featuring custom scoring elements, Daktronics ProStar video display technology and ProAd digital displays. The new football scoreboard will measure approximately 40ft by 45ft. The video display in the center of the scoreboard will measure approximately 15ft by 25ft.

Fans entering Strahan Coliseum for Bobcat basketball will be greeted with a custom end-wall display featuring ProStar video display technology as well. A centerhung scoreboard will keep fans, athletes and officials up-to-date with important game information.

Bobcat baseball and softball will see upgrades to both their fields with state-of-the-art scoreboards and video displays.
