For its trials of the Qualcomm MediaFLO mobile television system, China Network Systems Co. (CNS) and Taiwan Television Enterprise Ltd. (TTV) are using Harris Corp. Atlas mobile transmitters with Apex FLO exciters.
The trials, featuring two live channels from TTV and four from CNS, began in spring and are expected to continue through the summer, giving the broadcasters time to study and evaluate the performance of MediaFLO technology and to explore opportunities for multimedia services to mobile devices in Taiwan.
