Sharp announces incentives for latest monitor

Audiovisual equipment dealers and distributors are being offered a wide variety of financial and administrative incentives by Sharp Electronics to market the LC-M3700 37-inch monitor, one of Sharp’s latest products. Among the incentives included are preferred plateau pricing, special terms and pricing for demonstration units, and automatic accrual of co-op marketing funds. In addition, dealers will receive a variety of money and support; including access to special funds to help dealers launch their LC-M3700 marketing and promotion efforts, instructor-based on-site training for sales, technical and service personnel and account management and systems application engineering support. Participants in the program will also be listed on Sharp’s Web site.

To be eligible for the program, dealers must purchase at least two LC-M3700 units for inventory and one demo unit. Eligible dealers must then purchase a minimum of two units per month, receive sales and technical training, and agree to follow minimum Internet price guidelines.

“The market opportunity for LCD monitors in information display applications is enormous,” said Fred Krazeise, director of strategic marketing for Sharp’s LCD Products Group. “This program gives our dealers and distributors a series of strong competitive advantages to help them pursue that opportunity.”

The LC-M3700 is a slim, lightweight device. Its applications have appeared in airports, hotels, transportation centers, restaurants, retail outlets, convention centers, museums, casinos/sportsbooks and stadiums, as well as videoconferencing and television broadcast/production.
