Scopus helps T-Systems transmits digital TV over satellite and telco
Scopus Network Technologies, a supplier of digital compression technology to the broadcasting industry, has announced it is supplying German business services provider T-Systems, a Deutsche Telekom subsidiary, with DVB head-end platforms for digital TV and radio transmissions over satellite and ATM infrastructures.
T-Systems will use Scopus' new platforms for business TV applications and to allow regional program insertion. Scopus' platforms form the backbone of T-Systems' new digital video broadcasting platforms and are based on Scopus' CODICO product line. Scopus' platforms encompass encoders, multiplexers, network management and access control systems, the Intelligent Video Gateway (IVG), as well as hundreds of professional IRDs for reception sites.
