SBE Southwest Communications Expo/Education Seminar Scheduled for Oct. 19

The Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE) has released the sche-dule for the Southwest Communications Expo taking place Oct. 19, 2004 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Some of the sessions that may be of interest to readers include a presentation by Karl Voss, Chairman of the Arizona Frequency Coordination Committee on "Recent Changes in Broadcast Auxiliary Service Rules and How They May Affect You" and a two and a half hour presentation by Wayne Bretl and Gary Sgrignoli on the latest developments in DTV, including FCC schedules, 8-VSB enhancements, fifth generation receiver improvements, DTV translator rules and DTV channel allotments. After the DTV presentation, Sunio Naik from Moseley will speak on the "Importance of Error Correction in the Transmission of Video."
