Satellite Update

Intelsat North America LLC requested special temporary authority to conduct tracking, telemetry and command operations of the INTELSAT 601 C- and Ku-band satellite for 60 days while it is being drifted from its current location at 63.65 degrees east longitude to 47.5 degrees EL. At the 47.5 degrees EL location, the satellite would operate under an authorization issued by Germany to Europe*Star Gesellschaft Fur Satellitenkommunikation mbH. That company is 51 percent owned by PanAmSat Europe Corp., which is wholly owned by Intelsat Corp. This information is from FCC Report SAT-00415.

The FCC determined DirecTV Enterprises LLC has met the contract execution, critical design review, commencement of construction and launch and operational milestones associated with call sign S2689 for DirecTV 9S, a hybrid DBS and Ka-band space station located at the 101 degrees west longitude orbital location. XM Radio was granted STA to operate terrestrial repeaters with an effective isotropically radiated power of up to 0.5 watts and 0.0001 watts at the events requested and with the technical parameters specified in XM Radio's application for a period of 30 days, commencing Jan. 19, 2007.
