Plura Broadcast Saves Rack Space

Chicagoland PBS member station Lakeshore Public Television recently took a step to make signal monitoring a whole lot easier.

Their new Plua Broadcast source monitoring setup features three PBM-147 47-inch LCD monitors, mounted in adjacent racks and wired to a single multi-image processor.

Serving the northest Indiana sector of the Chicago market, Lakeshore PTV emphasizes its coverage of local news and sports, requiring a large number of satellite feeds. The Plura processor eliminates the need to designate one monitor for each source, saving tremendous amounts of space.

The PBM-147s also feature many different inputs, essential to Lakeshore PTV whose equipment, like most broadcasters, spans a variety of playback formats.
