PESA unveils Cheetah 512XR advanced router

PESA has extended its line of Cheetah routing switchers to include the new Cheetah 512XR, which can be configured to 512x512, non-expandable 1024x128, or 512x256 with fully redundant crosspoints in a 27RU form factor.

In addition to its small physical size, the Cheetah 512XR offers low power consumption; SDI, ASI, and HD-SDI signal support; internal fiber I/Os; and optional built-in conversion cards that reduce the space required for high-quality signal distribution.

The new Cheetah 512XR is designed for mission-critical applications. It provides full redundancy for power, control and crosspoints within the same 27RU frame. Each power supply supports either N+1 or full redundant power, and because of its low-power consumption, the system requires only a minimum of cooling.
