OmniBus Systems has announced its OPUS Interchange Web Services Gateway will support the data exchange protocol currently being developed by the SMPTE S22-10 Working Group on Data Exchange.
The S22 group is developing specs for the exchange of XML-encoded data among traffic, automation, program management and content delivery systems. The group defines XML schemas for the exchange of data among adjacent systems in five categories including content metadata, air schedules, as-run logs, record schedules and content purging. The S22 group includes representatives from hardware manufacturers, software providers and broadcasters from more than 60 countries.
OPUS Interchange is part of OmniBus' OPUS Suite for Content Management that debuted at IBC.
