National Mobile Television, with offices in Somerville, N.J., has purchased several Riedel Artist intercom systems for three of its mobile production trucks.
National Mobile Television recently purchased Riedel Artist intercom systems for three of the company’s production trucks. NMT plans to install the Artist M system in their flagship multi-format HD unit, HD4 (pictured).
NMT is installing the Artist M system in its flagship multi-format HD unit, HD4. The system will also be retrofitted into the company's A37 analog truck, and will be built into NMT's next multi-format HD truck, HD6, which is currently slated for construction in 2004.
Jerry Gepner, NMT's president, said that the decision to select the Artist Intercom system was based on its expansive feature set, high-quality audio and extensive data and routing capabilities.
NBC uses a similar radio and intercom system from Reidel at its Rockefeller Center headquarters in New York for security in the event of a building evacuation for emergency communication. In addition to the Artist frame and control panels, Riedel delivered system interfaces (RIF-2064) for the control and synchronization of radio base stations, Motorola radios and Riedel headsets.
Complete radio coverage of the building on all floors is achieved by the installation of radio base stations in various locations throughout the Rockefeller Center building. Additionally, communication is possible via this network in neighboring Central Park.
