Network Electronics, a provider of routing, signal processing and optical transport solutions based in Oslo, Norway, has opened a new regional headquarters in Singapore and hired Patrick Ang as sales director for Asia.
The company said in order to reach its goal of becoming the best partner for routing, signal processing and optical transport needs for professional video; it needs to meet the increasing opportunities in Asia.
"Setting up our regional headquarters in Singapore allows us to have closer proximity to our customers, distributors and partners in the Asia Pacific region and to better serve our customer base," said Joel Lam, Managing Director of Network Electronics Asia. "It's evidence of our market potential that we've been able to tempt someone with the experience of Patrick Ang to join our organization. I look forward to Patrick playing an important role in helping Network Electronics achieve its ambitious goals in Asia."
Patrick Ang brings over 10 years of experience to Network Electronics Asia. Ang most recently held the position of regional sales manager, ASEAN at Harris. His previous experience also includes management positions at Leitch, Videotek, Thomson Grass Valley and Philips Electronics.
