NBC Universal deploys VCI Solutions’ Orion for Olympic Games

NBC Universal (NBCU) is using VCI Solutions’ Orion Business System for the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympic Games. Orion will manage key back-office functions for NBCU, including sales and traffic.

Orion allows networks to view their commercial inventory and spot placement in real time. This synchronized view dramatically streamlines the entire operation by providing a more efficient and effective log control while reducing the number of make-goods needed. In addition, Orion provides NBCU with the ability to change commercial schedules on the day of air and seamlessly update schedules in automation.
