ATA-based RAID storage provider Medéa , now offers compatibility between its Fibre Channel RAID storage arrays with the Kona 2 capture card by AJA Video Systems .
The Medéa VideoRaid FCR2 and FCR2X work in high bandwidth environments such as HD video editing. The VideoRaid FCR2 includes a single-channel 2 GB Fibre Channel interface and transfers data at 180 MBps. The FCR2X transfers data at 320 MBps. Both arrays support loop and switched fabric, and can be scaled to meet the needs of growing capacities, more than 120TB.
The Kona 2 capture card supports uncompressed 8- and 10-bit SDI, HD-SDI and dual link 4:4:4 HD at both 10 and 12 bits. The capture card also features eight-channel AES audio, HD/SD component analog video output and HD/SD hardware up/downconversion.
