IMAKE--service provider that enables the delivery and of On Demand broadband services--and Alticast are teaming up provide open standards-based, end-to-end technologies for providers of VOD and Interactive TV services.
Bethesda, Md.-based IMAKE and Alticast--a Seoul, South Korea-based iTV firm--are helping service providers create, manage and monitor iTV applications to OCAP (OpenCable Application Platform) and MHP (multimedia home platform) standards.
"By partnering with Alticast, IMAKE is effectively extending its reach into the set-top-box for the first time to offer a complete solution from the headend to the customer premises," said Steven W. Sweeney, IMAKE vice president, marketing and business development.
