FCC Media Bureau extends filing deadlines
By TVTechnology published
The Media Bureau has extended the deadline for filing the biennial ownership report (FCC Forms 323/323E) for some commercial and noncommercial educational broadcast stations until Dec. 8.
The extension applies to stations in Alabama, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Montana, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota and Vermont.
A system upgrade and planned maintenance conducted on the Commission’s Consolidated Database System caused some users to experience problems, including system outages, when filing electronically, a statement from the Media Bureau said. The extension is intended to accommodate the needs of electronic filers who had trouble.
The Media Bureau also extended the deadline to Dec. 8 for Alabama and Georgia radio stations filing an application for renewal of broadcast station license (FCC Form 303-S) and broadcast equal employment opportunity report (FCC Form 396).
