The FCC Satellite Division granted Rainbow DSB LLC's applications for four Ka-band satellites. Rainbow KA 1 is authorized at 62 degrees West Longitude, KA-2 at 129 degrees W.L., KA-4 at 71 degrees W.L., and KA-5 at 119 degrees W.L. The satellites will operate in the 18.3-18.8 GHz, 19.7-20.2 GHz, 28.35-28.6 GHz and 29.25-30.0 GHz bands. Refer to the FCC Public Notice - Report SAT-00179 for more information.
Horizon Satellite was granted authority to provide Ku-band service from Horizons I at 127 degrees West Longitude. See the FCC Order for details.
