Australian broadcaster Network Ten recently bought an Encoda DAL Channel Manager A7500 automation system and DAL Ingest Automation Manager A8800 to help the network with its digital broadcasting efforts. The network's new playout system will handle multiple outputs carrying feeds tailored for each of Ten's metropolitan centers, including the major cities in Australia.
Encoda's A7500 and A8800 offer combined support within a single automation system for multichannel operation requiring coordinated origination and control. Network Ten will implement the A7500 with dual operator workstations and control panels to help it create a centralized broadcast model, helping it to provide government-mandated HD broadcasts while maintaining existing analog services and feeds to affiliates.
