The next meeting of the Advisory Committee on Diversity for Communications in the Digital Age will be held Jan. 26 at Commission headquarters in meeting room 445.
The agenda includes a presentation from David Steward, chairman and CEO for Worldwide Technologies, and brief reports from the committee’s four subcommittees: Career Advancement, New Technologies, Financial Issues and Transactional Transparency. Discussion and public comment will follow the reports.
Chairman Michael Powell formed the committee last summer to provide the Commission with guidance on policies and practices that could raise the level of diversity of media ownership and create opportunities for minorities and women to advance to managerial positions in the media.
