Leitch will provide a server system to CNN International. The sale comprises a mirrored, 12-channel (6-channel bi-directional, 6-channel playout) MPEG-2 VR440 server system with more than 100 hours of ECC RAID-protected storage.
Based upon a switchless, 2Gb/s optical architecture and including the SpotBase media management system, the system will be used for the recording, editing and playback of CNN feature programming.
