Fox Sports tapped Chryon Duet to provide 3D graphic production for the MLB All-Star Game, broadcast live from Detroit.
The Fox Sports teams animated sequences with the Chryon Duet LEX and Duet HyperX and Lyric graphics software. The Duet LEX and Duet HyperX generated in-game graphics and 3D animations including batter lower-third stats, first-time up facts, end-of-inning statistics, player bios and more, according to Clark Pierce, director or remote graphics production for Fox Sports in Los Angeles. In addition, the Chyron C-Mix option was use for video mixing.
"We were looking for more motion and depth and greater production value. I think that's what we got," Pierce said.
