Canadian cable provider reports strong HD subscription growth

Canadian cable provider Rogers Cable Communications has more than doubled the number of households subscribing to its high definition service since January 2005, according to the company.
As of late November, more than 100,000 households have subscribed to the company's HDTV service.
Additionally, the cable operator reports sizable demand for HD personal video recorders. One in three new HDTV customers add an HD-PVR, according to the company.
