Pinnacle Deko Delivers Graphics for U.S. Open

The United States Golf Association has tapped Pinnacle Systems for its broadcast graphics, to prepare for the U.S. Open that kicked off June 16.

The Deko system will deliver the graphics for the USGA world feed and event coverage on NBC, ESPN, ESPN Sport Center, TV Asahi, BSkyB and Channel Nine Australia. ESPN and NBC designed the graphics for the event--the templates were sent to the broadcasters days before the event, enabling them to add their logos and branding elements to customize the programming for their audiences.

IT consulting firm Unisys provides the scoring data to broadcasters, according to David Fox, director, sports marketing at Unisys. Pinnacle Deko enables broadcasters to connect their graphics systems directly to the scoring system, he said.
