Arkansas State University uses QTV for sports prompting

Arkansas State University (ASU) has installed a range of QTV and Autocue systems for digital production of its sports programming.

The installation is a major part of a new studio installation in the University's Department of Radio-Television. ASU students producing programming for the university's cable channel, ASU-TV (broadcasting to Jonesboro and Bay, AR), are now using Autocue's newsroom computer system, QSmart, with two QTV 15in Master Series prompters.

The equipment is being incorporated in three courses: Reporting for the Electronic Media, Electronic Newsgathering and News Production and Performance.

ASU media students taking these courses produce a variety of programs for ASU-TV, including sports talk shows, half-hour TV newscasts, five-minute TV news updates, radio newscasts and public affairs programs.
