Anystream and SeaChange International will introduce Agility VOD, an automated on-demand system that streamlines the creation and handling of media files.
Based on CableLabs standards, the integrated system ingests and transcodes content on the fly and distributes it in a format that’s compliant with existing server-based systems and set top boxes.Agility VOD offers a unified workflow for encoding, metadata entry, content enhancement, asset assembly, ADI packaging, production review and network delivery.
The system supports the ingest of all media formats and lets content producers automate such routine tasks as bug insertion, fade in/out and audio normalization between segments. The system is scalable, allowing users to add storage capacity to handle increased demand, and add modules to repurpose media for the Web, IPTV and mobile applications.
The companies are demonstrating the system at the SeaChange booth (#SU 6557) and Anystream booth (#SL 3316) at the NAB convention this week.
