Housed in a beautifully restored turn-of-the-century building in downtown Ashland, WI, close to the southern shore of Lake Superior, WAST-TV has undertaken the challenge of bringing local news to the Wisconsin Northland.
Mixing new and hand-me-down equipment, the True North Television carried off a major coup in getting the first show to air on time and within budget. The station added a NewsKing newsroom system from Comprompter to help make its on-schedule premier possible by quickly allowing reporters and producers to learn how to bring a newscast to air.
