Times Now expands to include traffic operations

Times Group & Reuters Service’s Times Now 24-hour English news and current affairs television channel is expanding its global programming. The Times Global Broadcasting subsidiary is now supporting traffic operations at the broadcaster's Mumbai, India facility.

Launched in January of this year, the network has specialized in airing big stories based on news and issues geared to an on-the-move, urbane audience.

Times Now is using SintecMedia's OnAir broadcast management system. Installed within the channel's traffic department, OnAir enables Times Now to leverage existing inventory by carefully controlling its release, shifting inventory across selling tiers (national, local or across selling units), extending sales options to include new forms of advertising and formulating strategic pricing based on live avails data. The software's configurable optimization engine helps to ensure that spot-placement strategies gain higher revenues and accomplish all goals.
