DPA Microphones introduces compact cardioid stereo kit

DPA Microphones introduced its compact cardioid stereo kit, the DPA 3521, at AES 2004.

The 3521 has two 4021 compact cardioid microphones carefully matched within 2dB on frequency response, sensitivity and self-noise.

The kit is supplied in a sturdy carrying case and includes the combination XY/ORTF holder, two gooseneck mounts and two magnet bases for mounting on metal surfaces.

The cardioids use the same capsule as the standard series DPA 4011 microphone, but they are pre-amplified using a built-in miniaturized thick-film mounted FET-amplifier.
