Everstream’s S4 Data Suite, which includes Report One, enables data extraction, transformation, wide area network transport, loading, and storage of Cox Media’s data.
Everstream, a provider of enterprise software for the on-demand television industry, announced that Cox Media, the advertising unit of Cox Communications, has deployed a restricted version of Everstream’s data warehousing S4 Data Suite and reporting solutions to support its FreeZone on-demand service.
The VOD service will soon to be available to more than one million Cox Digital Cable households. The deployment of a restricted version of Everstream’s S4 Data Suite allows Cox to collect and aggregate data restricted to the FreeZone initiative, and will help Cox Media aggregate enterprise-wide insight based on the FreeZone performance across all of its nine EOD markets and across various VOD platforms.
Everstream’s S4 Data Suite provides the core architecture for data extraction, transformation, wide area network transport, loading, and storage of cable operators’ data. The suite is comprised of two components, including one centralized S4 Interactive Data Warehouse (IDW) and one or more S4 Interactive Data Gateways (IDG) for each headend or market. Designed for “info-centric” vs. “transaction-centric” access, the data warehouse provides high performance support for the analytical operations through the use of Everstream’s Application Suite, or through the use of third-party analytics or reporting tools.
