Clear-Com’s E-FIB connects audio from isolated locations
By TVTechnology published
Clear-Com unveiled its E-FIB fiber networking card, part of the Eclipse digital matrix intercom platform. The E-FIB product offers users a non-blocking, high-speed audio connection between isolated locations. The dual concentric fiber ring provides full redundancy while maintaining audio links, even if the main fiber pair is fully disconnected.
The E-FIB provides a non-blocking digital audio linking system intended for sharing intercom and audio resources between production teams. E-FIB runs at full audio bandwidth, allowing the intercom matrices to share the audio resources as if they were local. In effect, a fiber network of Eclipse intercom frames act as one matrix.
