Avid Technology acquires Sundance Digital

Avid Technology announced April 13 that it has acquired Sundance Digital for about $12 million in cash.
Based in the Dallas area, Sundance Digital develops automation and device control software for broadcast video servers, tape transports, graphics systems and other broadcast station equipment.
Sundance Digital has been providing automation solutions to public and commercial broadcasters since 1994. The company’s products include Titan, FastBreak NXT Automation and FastBreak NXT XPress, Intelli-Sat, Digital Delivery Management System (DDMS), NewsLink, and Sundance Seeker.
Sundance automation systems already integrate with a range of Avid broadcast solutions, including MediaStream, Avid iNEWS, Deko, DekoCast, Thunder and AirSpeed.
