Quantel rolls out V2.1 for sQ, shows Resolution Transparent sQ at IBC2004

At IBC2004, Quantel demonstrated its sQ system. The company also debuted its Resolution Transparent sQ server system.

sQEdit is a software-only package, designed to run on a standard PC.

It features a one-touch white balance, one-shot tracking with mosaic or blur, easy resizing and fast application of sophisticated-looking custom transitions.

The company also made the first public demonstration of the Resolution Transparent sQ server system. Resolution Transparent sQ technology is already on air at ESPN operating in a mixed SD and HD operation.

The sQ server is now available in three variants: SD, HD and Resolution Transparent for mixed HD and SD production environments. The HD and Resolution Transparent sQ models have all the power and functionality of their SD counterparts, including Quantel’s Frame Magic and ISA database management.
