Brick House Video to debut Neptune synchronizer at IBC2004

Brick House Video's Neptune

Brick House Video's Neptune, a dual SDI frame synchronizer, will make its European debut at IBC2004.

Neptune was developed for use in a wide range of studio, edit suite, OB and transmission environments. It is composed of two fully independent SDI frame store synchronizers in a 1RU chassis. It was designed with standard 10-bit SDI inputs and a range of analog and digital input options for flexible signal acquisition. Multiple SDI and composite analog (monitoring) outputs are included as standard.

Neptune can be configured as two fully independent channels or as an intelligent switch that selects the best input based on user criteria. In dual-path redundant applications, the dual frame architecture allows a disturbance-free transition from a failing signal to a good signal.

Other IBC2004 developments:

  • A stand-alone, battery-powered four-input version of the VTB-2D SDI rack-mounted switcher;
  • A new version of the VTB-1D portable SDI switcher with a new front panel and features, including switchable program/preview composite monitoring and variable genlock timing;
  • V-Log, a universal time code reader/inserter with VHS transport control.
