NAB show ends on a high note

Despite the lower attendance at this year's NAB show (the NAB announced that there were about 83,000 attendees compared with last year's 105,000), the show was still successful for many exhibitors I talked with.

Though the economy affected the number of people at NAB 2009, the quality of those people was good. And I must say, it made the convention halls a little more easy to navigate!

NAB is all about innovation and technology, so I want to share with you some of the new products I saw at the show.

Monday and Tuesday of this week, I worked with a video crew and we shot about 30 video demonstrations of new products we thought you'd be interested in seeing. Please be sure to check out BE TV. If you were unable to attend NAB 2009, the videos give you a glimpse of some of the neat technologies that were announced at this year's show.

Thursday I helped hand out the Broadcast Engineering Pick Hit awards. The Pick Hits are the top products introduced at NAB 2009, chosen by an independent panel of judges who scour the show floor for three days, and then meet to decide what products deserve this prestigious award.

That's all for now ... until next year at NAB 2010.
