CTV Standardizes on Ross Production Solutions

Iroquois, ON Canada – July 29, 2008 – Ross Video has entered into a five year agreement with CTVglobemedia to provide production control room technologies for all CTV properties.

CTV’s first two purchases made under this agreement are for Vision 4 QMD-X switchers and SoftMetal Servers at CTV National News and CTV Toronto’s (CFTO) news control rooms. Prior to the agreement, CTVglobemedia had implemented several Ross switchers for local news production in Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Sudbury, Regina and Saskatoon, A-Channel News in Ottawa, Barrie, and London, along with the main control room for CTV Newsnet. In sports production, CTV has implemented Ross switchers in TSN’s SportsCentre, RDS studio two and RIS.

“We are thrilled that CTV has chosen to standardize on our Vision QMD/X series of multi-definition production switchers,” said David Ross, CEO. "This agreement and this sale give Ross a tremendous presence with CTV. “

“CTV has chosen Ross’ switcher technologies for a number of reasons,” said Allan Morris, Senior Vice President Engineering, Operations and IT. “Ross has shown leadership and innovation in the design of their products, including the implementation of many customer requests along the way. We believe that as CTV moves forward with its HD strategy, Ross will ensure that the marketplace provides the right equipment for our applications.”
