Network Electronics has appointed Arthur J. Machia as the new northeast area sales manager.
Machia will support the fiber-optic systems company's current client base and help expand into new market opportunities. He will work closely with the company's distribution channels and with the global headquarters in Sandefjord, Norway to ensure customer needs are addressed.

Prior to joining the company, he was president of American Television Systems Group Inc., a systems integration and consulting company. He also worked in various sales management positions for Philips Broadcast, Digital Graphix Inc., Sony and Panasonic.
Network Electronic's U.S. headquarters is in Salt Lake City.
