New synchronizer for mixed Dolby E and AES installations
By TVTechnology
published The Crystal Vision SYNAD-E synchronizer allows mixed Dolby E and standard AES installations for applications that involve surround sound or multiple languages encoded in a single AES stream of Dolby E. A second AES feed then contains a standard audio stereo pair, both for end users without a surround sound decoder and to make it easier for the broadcaster to monitor the audio. SYNAD-E separates the Dolby E and standard audio, synchronizing both types to recreate the audio with the delay matching the video.
