Neumann receives TEC award

Neumann has re-launched its Web site.

With a wealth of technical and user information, the site features a new Neumann forum where participants can share their expertise and experiences. Opened earlier this month the site features a new design, with optimized user navigation and an even greater depth of information. The company also offers a free Neumann e-newsletter.

To celebrate the new site the company is offering visitors and subscribers the chance to win a TLM 127 studio microphone.

In other Neumann news, at the AES convention in New York City last month, Neumann’s 48v phantom power mic technology was inducted into the TECnology Hall of Fame. Neumann developed phantom power in 1966. With a new series of transistorized microphones, 48v power technology was later standardized as DIN 45596, which is available with almost every professional mixing console on the market today.
