Dolby E standard wins Emmy

Dolby Laboratories has been awarded a Primetime Emmy Award from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (ATAS). The company won for Outstanding Achievement in Engineering Development.

Dolby E facilitates the distribution of surround and multichannel audio through digital two-channel post- production and broadcasting signal paths.

More than 325 facilities around the world use Dolby E, and more than 30 companies make products compatible with the technology. The award will be presented at the 2005 Primetime Creative Arts Awards ceremony at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles this month.
