Zandar multiviewer now includes dual HD output

Zandar Technologies has enhanced its Predator MultiViewers with new dual HD output capability, allowing a single multiviewer to drive one or two displays at native HD resolution. The company has also improved its UMD and tally processing, fonts, alarming and Z-Controller operation. All of the new features are being showcased at NAB2007 (booth SU2729).

The Predator HD4, HD8, HD12 and HD16 systems now all offer dual HD display at 50Hz and 60Hz. Each unit can combine a mixture of SD and HD signals, including 720p and 1080i, operational flexibility and space-saving benefits. With a high-resolution output on DVI, another major benefit is the cost effectiveness over the use of HD monitors.

Zandar's UMD and tally now offer new functionality that allows the tally display to be indicated by border color changes. Static and dynamic UMD display is also possible. Improved GPI features include automatic user triggers for full-screen and layout changes, and a new alarming function that adds border color changes once an alarm is activated.

Multisystem configuration and control is simplified with enhancements to the Z-Configurator software user interface, and the new Z-Controller software. Systems can be combined into walls with various presets or scenarios. Z-Controller gives immediate operator control of the wall for scenario changes whether scheduled or on alarm activation, and provides visual indication of fault conditions and an alarm logging tool.

Since 2005, Predator MultiViewers have been deployed in trucks for production companies around the world for live sports productions.
