Wal-Mart has purchased Fujinon HD Studio and ENG-style lenses to produce hi-def programming at its Bentonville, Ark.-based production studio. Four HA22x7.2ESM HD studio lenses will be affixed to four Ikegami HD studio cameras and one Ikegami handheld HD camera. The four HA17X7.8E ENG-style lenses will be used for field production with Sony HD camcorders.
A Fujinon studio lens has a focal length range of 7.2 to 158 mm or 14.4 to 316 mm with a 2X extender and a zoom ratio of 22X. It features DIGI POWER Servo, which provides operators with control of zoom, focus and iris functions. The ENG/EFP lens, targeted for broadcast news and field production applications, uses Super EBC coating technology and an Inner Focusing system.
