Trinity Broadcasting Streamlines Operations with Miranda Gear

Trinity Broadcasting Network, a large U.S.-based religious broadcasting network, has embarked on a large scale station automation project involving 30 of the network's affiliate stations.

"Our goal in upgrading all 30 TBN affiliates is to condense broadcast operations into a smaller footprint, automate functions such as station i.d.s and EAS, and establish monitoring and control capability from our network hub," said Paul Crouch Jr., vice president of administration for TBN.

TBN has selected Miranda Technologies Inc. to supply channel branding systems and terminal equipment for the project. Imagestore automated master control switching equipment and channel branding processors for playing out graphics will be installed at each station.

When completed, the system will allow remote monitoring of each of the network affiliates at TBN's Tustin, Calif. hub facility.

Installation work will be overseen by TV Magic, a San Diego, Calif. systems integration firm.
